I wouldn't consider buying shutters again unless they were Elizabeth Shutters. We had another company in to do some simple windows and the quality was not good. Elizabeth Shutters re-made the shutters using wood (Basswood, I think). All of the joints were straight, the slats blocked out the light and the paint was beautiful. When it came time to do the sliding door shutters and bi-fold shutters along with the closet doors and bay windows, of course we went with plantation shutters from Elizabeth. I've had Elizabeth Shutters to my house twice for wood shutters. We shopped around the first time and my husband and I were just so impressed with our Designer, her samples and her knowledge about the shutters. When she promised us an installation that was much sooner than the others we were afraid that maybe this was a gimmick.
